Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur crashed on Thursday in the rebel-controlled area of Eastern Ukraine near the border with Russia. There were 298 people on board. There are no survivors. Reports that the aircraft was shot down by a surface-to-air missile are still unconfirmed, even though the evidence for it is mounting. No one has taken the responsibility for the crash as the rebel and Ukraine forces continue to blame each other for it.
