Dougal Thomson has spent the last six years at The Economist Group. As Head of Programmes for The Economist Events, he runs an editorial team delivering a wide range of products on issues including global trade, energy, healthcare, technology and the environment. He is also a contributing editor at www.management-thinking.org website, blogging on a range of trade and development issues.
Dougal has worked in media and publishing since 2000. Prior to joining The Economist he worked for research firm Datamonitor, and previously he was Head of Content for business publisher SPG Media.
Dougal’s academic background includes a BA Hons in English Literature from Trinity College Dublin and a Masters in Theatre Studies from Université Sorbonne Nouvelle - Paris 3.
