The Arab Republic of Egypt — is a country lying in the northeast corner of Africa and southwest corner of Asia, via a land bridge formed by the Sinai Peninsula

It is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, the Gaza Strip and Israel to the northeast, the Gulf of Aqaba to the east, the Red Sea to the east and south, Sudan to the south and Libya to the west.

Form of government — presidential republic

President is the Head of State and Head of the Military. Head of government — prime minister. Top tier legislature — two-house House of Representatives.

Integration

In March 2014 in Moscow, following the results of the joint Russian-Egyptian commerce, economic and scientific partnership committee panel session the countries declared interest to commence negotiations on a free trade area between the Customs Union and Egypt.
